Fish City, a restaurant with a difference
Only open in Belfast since July 2016, Fish City is reasonably new to Belfast, but already this award-winning restaurant and take away is quickly becoming one of Belfast’s favourite eateries. Located in Ann Street, close to Victoria Square, Fish City occupies two floors with a vibe that is described as casual and contemporary, and a service that is very personal and attentive.
The menu at Fish City focuses on high quality and sustainably sourced seafood dishes, including the traditional and much loved Fish & Chips, but the menu is extensive with lots more than seafood to choose from - accompanied by a great wine and local craft beer selection. Ideal for group bookings, Fish City occupies two floors, the ground floor can accommodate up to 42 people, and the Fisherman’s Hut on the second floor caters for up to 35 people. There is also the option of private dining on the third floor. All group bookings can avail of a 10% discount on all orders from the food menu.
Tourist friendly, John and Grainne Lavery, recognising the high number of tourists visiting Belfast, have had all of their website and menus made fully translatable – all of the information is available to view in multiple languages. Award winners, Fish City’s commitment to sustainable sourcing was recently recognised by Tourism NI – they were runner up in the ‘Sustainable Tourism Award’ category, and are finalists in the ‘Seafood restaurant of the Year’ category by The Food Awards (NI), the winner will be announced in July. So if you are looking for a relaxed welcoming venue with great food and superb service, why not stop by Fish City – it really has something for everyone.
