HMS Caroline’s Meet the Crew tour 

A  truly unique and personal experience, brand new for 2020.  Visitors will journey more than 100 years into the past to experience life on board this remarkable First World War vessel.  Using original diary entries and first-hand accounts our costumed guides expertly bring stories of Caroline’s crew to life with tales of the everyday heroes that took part in the Battle of Jutland – the greatest naval battle in history.   Visitors will get to know  Hugh Percy Johnston the ships stoker who often played the “Damsel” in Caroline’s many concert parties or “Carry-ons”; Smithy, the Captain’s personal steward; Boy Telegraphist William Crick and Billy England who was often seen roller skating on deck plus many more.  Don’t miss this opportunity to get to know the everyday heroes who served on board HMS Caroline and experience life on board this unique survivor. 


Titanic The Musical

Based on real characters aboard the most legendary ship in the world, This musical is a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her owners, crew passengers who all boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own. The venue is the TEC Belfast, located on the very ground that components of the ship were fabricated and less than 100metres from were the great ship was built, with many members of the cast of Belfast Operatic Company being direct descendants of the men that designed and built this most magnificent and significant ship of its time. Last performed in Belfast, during April 2018 this very entertaining and highly emotive Show required 3 additional matinees added, such was the demand for tickets - playing to sell out audiences over the course of the week’s run. 


Tracey's Farmhouse Kitchen

Join Tracey in her Farmhouse Kitchen where she will be preparing lunch using local produce within 5 miles of the Farmhouse.  You’ll get involved! You’ll gather your own ingredients from Tracey’s Farmhouse Garden and cook a local dish which you will enjoy with other local food and drink – all homemade around the Farmhouse Kitchen table on the shores of Strangford Lough – 35 minutes from Belfast. Recently awarded 5 star visitor experience rating with Tourism NI.


70th anniversary C.S Lewis Festival - 20th-24th November 2020

Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Lewis’s most famous work ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’, the eighth annual C.S. Lewis Festival will mark this milestone with a five day programme of literary-themed events and activities for all ages including a series of Lewis-inspired illuminations and festive markets in the C.S. Harty Culture Tours

Jonathan Harty of Harty Culture specialises in a range of foraging and nature tours that provide tourists and locals with an introduction to edible plants, fungi and other wild foods in the fields and woodlands across Northern Ireland. Jonathan Harty teaches guests the ancient skill of identifying and harvesting wild greens, edible leaves, herbs and mushrooms from the woods, meadows and hedgerows of Northern Ireland’s beautiful countryside. 


Game of Thrones Studios Tour

The Game of Thrones Studio Tour, comprising the breathtaking imagery, captivating sets, original props and costumes, and other behind-the-scenes items from the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, will drop fans in the very heart of the Seven Kingdoms. Guests will be treated to an up-close and personal look at a wide selection of items pulled straight from the screen and have the opportunity to walk through authentic set pieces from some of the show’s most iconic scenes. In collaboration with HBO Licensing & Retail, Linen Mill Studios are designing and building the new 110,000-square-foot interactive experience and will open its gates for visitors in Autumn 2020. It is the first in a series of Game of Thrones Legacy projects announced by HBO last year.


The Belfast Dance Show

Join a celebration of Belfast through music, song and dance at The Belfast Dance Show. This experience takes guests on a journey through the hidden backstreets and lost lanes of Belfast and Northern Ireland. Spend an enchanting hour and a half  in the company of world champion Irish dancers and musicians, who have learnt, honed and applied their trade on many a highway and by-way.

Áras Uí Chonghaile - James Connolly Visitor Centre

This visitor exhibition tells the story of Connolly from his birth in Edinburgh in 1868 to his death in Dublin in 1916. It explores his role as a pioneer of the early trade union movement and his extraordinary travels throughout Britain and America, and his organising closer to home in Belfast and Dublin – all on behalf of the working man and woman, their rights, working conditions and pay.

 

Belfast Gin & Spirit School

Opened in the summer of 2019, the Belfast Gin and Spirits School is set in the heart of Belfast and offers a range of immersive gin & whiskey experiences to suit all groups and budgets. Alongside Ian, the Master Distiller and Soda, the Beverage Director, guests learn the history of gin from pre-prohibition to the modern day, and see first hand the stages and processes that go into creating this much loved tipple. Guests can also take a masterclass in Bushmills Whiskey, the oldest licensed whiskey in the world.


Glass of Thrones 

To celebrate 10 years of filming in Northern Ireland, Tourism Ireland created six giant, stained glass windows depicting some of the most iconic scenes from Game of Thrones. The windows were unveiled to coincide with the final season of the show with each one representing a different house or legacy; including the Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons, Targaryens, White Walkers and the Iron Throne. The designs include the most talked-about scenes from seasons one to seven based on fans’ online searches. Find the Glass of Thrones installations leading from Belfast City Hall to Titanic Slipways, next to Titanic Studios. Take a stroll and rediscover the most iconic moments from the saga immortalised in stained glass.


Crumlin Road Gaol new Troubles Tour

Crumlin Road Gaol has launched a new immersive political experience that includes a tour of the gaol followed by a walking tour of the Falls Road and Shankill Estate, conducted by two former prisoners. The tour concludes with a hearty bowl of stew and a few invigorating beverages at Cuffs Bar & Grill.

 

Cathedral Quarter Culture Tour

Ever since becoming a bustling port in the 1600s, the area known as the Cathedral Quarter has been the beating heart of Belfast's cultural life - but pubs, clubs and cafes are only one part of its story. On this tour you'll discover the richness of the areas culture: from Literature and Sculpture, to Punk and Graffiti, plus you'll hear how Religion and Politics conspired to make Belfast's Cathedral Quarter one of the world's top destinations.


Hillsborough Castle and Gardens

Historic Royal Palaces are investing over £16m into an ambitious programme of capital projects and associated activities that will open Hillsborough Castle’s site to the widest possible audience, conserving and re-presenting the heritage and inviting visitors to explore its many stories. The project is due for completion in April 2019.


Mount Stewart

Following extensive development, historic Mount Stewart estate is due to unveil its impressive additions in Spring 2019. Adding to its current 7 miles of waymarked walking trails, a further 3.5 miles are due to open to the public in May, situated in the North-West of Mount Stewart Demesne.
